Kubulab at TechAnkara Project Market 2024

We’re excited to share our experience from this year’s TechAnkara Project Market, a dynamic event organized by the Ankara Development Agency that brought together innovative minds, leading tech companies, and forward-looking public institutions. As Kubulab, we had the unique opportunity to showcase two of our flagship games—Gully in Galata and Wings Match—and engage in insightful conversations about the potential for impactful collaborations.

Our games are crafted around themes of sustainability and nature, aiming to inspire players to engage with environmental issues through interactive and educational gameplay. Gully in Galata uses augmented reality to bring players into the vibrant streets of Galata, where they experience Istanbul from the perspective of a seagull. Through the game, players take on the mission of keeping the city clean, learning about the importance of waste reduction and environmental care as they explore Galata’s landmarks and collect litter. Wings Match, on the other hand, offers a unique twist on board and card games by integrating AR technology, connecting players to a rich variety of bird species and their natural habitats in an engaging, hands-on way.

At TechAnkara, we had the pleasure of discussing collaborative opportunities with various municipalities and institutions, focusing on how our projects can reach wider audiences and contribute to public awareness around sustainability. These discussions were both inspiring and productive, reinforcing our mission to create games that not only entertain but also educate and motivate players to think critically about their impact on the environment. By working alongside public organizations, we hope to make a more significant difference and bring our games to players who may benefit most from these educational tools.

A big thank you to TechAnkara and the Ankara Development Agency for hosting such an enriching event, and to all the institutions and visitors who showed interest in our work. The event has left us motivated and optimistic about the future, and we look forward to turning these discussions into meaningful collaborations that will make a positive impact through gaming.
